Thought,
the Motive Power

Thought is a living,
conscious force with the capacity to seek into life and
infinity; its clarity of vision, analysis, and concept
is subject to the exercise of discipline, logic, and
reason, and to the principle of balance and harmony, the
same as music is subject to mathematical balance for
harmony. Many people depend upon what they
feel, i.e., urges, desires, and premonitions, with
very little logical reasoning, so they are practically
strangers to the realms of mind and have not developed
the power of logical thinking. The greatest
mystery in the universe is human mind because it is the
all-inclusive power, combining within itself all the
innumerable details that constitute life. Every
little or vast expression of life is mind. Is it
any wonder that mind often becomes lost within itself,
lost in one of its most insignificant details?
A name attached to the
human brain cells creates a complete world unto itself,
subject to almost limitless exploration. One often
hears the remarks, "How interesting it is to
explore the minds of people," and "What a
depth there is to some minds as compared to the
shallowness of others."
A narrow limited mind is
one that accepts an idea or thought without
analysis. Analysis is the most necessary form of
mental growth, for it parallels vision and understanding
by creating logic and reason. The many different
angles we see to a question determine our understanding
of its many possibilities, thus enabling us to see the
other person's viewpoint and conclusions; through
analysis of the question, we arrive at a greater
understanding. Questions are the search-lights of
truth and fact because they create thinking, debate, and
conclusion--all of which are tools for
constructive mental progress.
We must learn each step
of life as related to the law of involution and
evolution; to be sure we are upon the right path, we
must learn to see clearly the gradual and systematic
growth of mind as it unfolds from the lowest form to the
highest concept.
First, we must have the
proper serious and thoughtful attitude toward life; a
full knowledge of the part we must play, not just for
our own edification but for the good of the whole; how
each of us is a master painter who must contribute our
particular part to complete the great canvas of life
that no part may be left undone. The proper
concept of universality, impartiality, and unity of
purpose requires understanding of the basic principles. This concept
removes the "self" obstacle, showing that self
is only incidental to the whole, for we may become lost
in self and thus lose all universal concept. We
must realize how necessary is individual effort as our
contribution to the evolution of the race and the
unfoldment of Consciousness within.
We must have an ideal; we
must have the desire to find expression in some phase of
mental and spiritual development; we must have full
confidence in our ability to materialize that ideal into
practical reality. But first--we must study self,
then study the successive steps of self-discipline and
education necessary for growth, and plan each phase
carefully. The most important points are our
relationship to the ideal, what are our qualifications,
and what changes are necessary in our personal nature
and habits.

Universal Love is a
knowledge that we are one Breath, one Life, one
God. It is the same spirit within everybody,
regardless of race, colour, or creed. Universal
means without limitations, realizing that we are part of
every conceivable thing in the atmosphere, the
mountains, the light, every chemical, every mineral,
everything we can think of. We are all part of
it. There is every mineral in our bodies that
there is in the ground, and we breathe the energies of
the atmosphere into our bodies with our breath, and
therefore we are part of everything.
The Kabalarian Philosophy
teaches always to be the
same. Never allow your thoughts to be confused
when you have a disagreement. Consider how it
started; most times it started from nothing.
Someone felt out of sorts and one person retaliated
against the other. Then you have a major issue out of
nothing when faced with reality. Always keep your
mind the same, always be happy, always have a smile for
people. The size of your problem depends upon the
state of your thinking, your analysis. Problems
today often look enormous; three months
from now you will be laughing at them.
Universal love is
expressed when we
try to rise above idiotic things, try to make our living
logical, our actions and thinking logical.
Universal love is to realize we are all one, to respect
our fellow human beings, utmost respect for everybody,
regardless. Some people think universal love means
falling in love with everybody. It has nothing to
do with that kind of love.
Love is a state of
giving. We are only individual and personal to the
extent that we are responsible for our own lives, for our
own thinking. We are trying to raise our minds
above the finite stage to the universal stage where we
realize our personal responsibility to the world and
life. Our minds, whether universal or finite, are only a
quality of thinking and when we are born into a
civilization, a terrific amount of
individuality plus a basic Principle is required to rise above
its influence.

How
Each Number Expresses Universal Love

Over the past issues of
the newsletter, we have discussed the qualities of the birthpath. In this newsletter, we are offering a few
more thoughts on how the qualities, whether they be found in the name or the
birthpath, express their highest potential of universal
love.
To calculate a birthpath, add the month, the day, and year and reduce
the number to a single digit.
January 1, 1971
(1) +(1) +( 1 + 9 + 7 + 1) = 11
1 + 1 = 2
A person born January 1,
1971 is a 2 birthpath. Calculate your own birthpath
using the method above. The birthpath measured from the
date of birth is the spiritual potential to be fulfilled
by the development of the mind to a constructive plane
of Spiritual Consciousness.
1 birthpath or name
quality
The 1s express universal
love by being dependable. They are not
easily influenced by the opinions and actions of
others. The 1s are trustworthy and loyal.
They express universal love through their honesty with
themselves and others. When you ask a 1 for
advice, expect a candid, straight-to-the-point, truthful
answer. When the 1s live to serve a universal purpose,
they represent a strength of positivity and leadership
for others to look up to and follow.
2 birthpath or name
quality
Through the 2's
diplomacy, understanding, warmth, and kindness, the 2s
deflect friction and tension. When the 2 has
learned to be more concerned with truth than with someone
else's opinion and not drift toward the most persuasive
type of influence, then the 2 has the greatest strength
on its side in dealing with people. To fulfil their role on a
universal level, the 2s must gain an knowledge of human
nature and an ability to solve problems through an
understanding of mind. Being sensitive and
intuitive, the 2s sense when people are
unhappy and seem to know what to say to help others.
3 birthpath or name
quality
When the 3s are
expressing their higher nature, they are naturally very
generous and give from the heart. They love to
share with others for the sheer pleasure in seeing
others happy. The 3s are congenial in association
as they have a natural love for all people. The
3s inspire others through their love of life and their undying optimism. Naturally
cosmopolitan, the 3s meet and mix well with all types of
people. The power of giving that 3s represent
encourages greater expression and happiness in
life.
4 birthpath or name
quality
The 4s bring intelligence
to universal love through clarification and
understanding. The 4s represent a strength of
intelligence, constancy, and steadfastness which has a
stabilizing influence on others. When the 4s
develop an understanding of people, they understand
"the reason why" and then the higher qualities
of patience and helping others through education express
through the 4s. The 4's awareness of helping others
is through their intellectual illumination upon many
subjects helpful to others.
5 birthpath or name
quality
The 5s express universal
love through their sense of fairness, their willingness
to help others and to champion the rights, particularly,
of others in less fortunate
circumstances. The 5s dislike bigotry and
oppression. When expressing their higher natures,
the 5s are charitable and, at times, over-extend
themselves in helping others. The 5s appreciate
progress and like to be on the cutting edge of
discoveries that will make life better for people.
The 5s express universal love through their intellectual
development to find new meanings and theories that will
ensure improvement of life's conditions.
6 birthpath or name
quality
Naturally paternal and
maternal with an intense desire to serve humanity, the 6s
express universal love through their care and awareness
of the needs of people, and their willingness to take
on responsibility in hospitals and charitable and
educational institutions. The 6s combine
perceptivity, stability, and a natural sense of logic
and common sense that calms the turbulence in
others. The 6s are trustworthy and just. 6s
often sacrifice their own opportunities in order to
assist others, especially when they are supported by the
love and respect of family and friends.
7 birthpath or name
quality
Universal love expresses
through the 7s when they share their deeper thoughts and
universal ideas with others. The 7s are seeking
the answers to life and when the 7 finds relaxation in
verbal expression, and shares their thoughts, many times
their intelligence opens up new realms of thought for
others. The 7s love nature and the musical
instruments that depict natural sounds and often their
music has a unique inspirational expression. The
7's poetry and verse often depicts the beauties of nature
and people and the sense of oneness of all things.
8 birthpath or name
quality
The 8s express universal
love for others in their efforts to create justice and
equality for all people and their ability to understand
and utilize the natural talents of others. The 8s
are here to help the less fortunate and to establish a
just and balanced economic system. The 8s are the
business leaders, adept at directing the efforts of
others along constructive lines, and accumulating for
the benefit of and in service to humanity. As the
8s develop more tolerance and compassion, they realize
their executive and organizing abilities are meant to
establish better conditions for all people, not just for
themselves.
9 birthpath or name
quality
As the 9s express a
universal love for all through service, and not build
their world around personal and family love alone, the
9s find a balance and happiness in their lives.
Charming, sympathetic, and affectionate, the 9s inspire
people through drama, music, the arts, or public
speaking. 9s make friends easily, with all type of
people, and can make themselves at home in almost any
environment. Their talents are many and varied.
A 9's mind, when expressing universal love, is
broad, deep, generous, and extremely forgiving--not
vindictive or inclined to hold a grudge.

Use
Cycles to Plan with Confidence

Each new year represents
a seed of potential. Whether the fulfilment, the
flowering of that potential, is realized or not, lies in
the mind of each person. Whether we understand
cycles or not, there is the natural urge at the
beginning of a new year to make resolutions for growth
and improvement.
Time and Life are
Synonymous
Every day, month, and year, we are supposed to grow,
and unfold new ideas and new activities, and every human
being should have a specific purpose and goal, the
activities of which evolve according to the gradations
of the cycle, just as does the plant. Time and
life are synonymous. All life expresses within
time, it being the gradations or steps and the measuring
stick of the growth of human mind, which is supposed to
fill the ages with a specific intelligence relative to
that age. We must live, but we must have an
objective for living; otherwise, we become submerged in
living without actual mental and spiritual
progress. We must learn to coincide our efforts
with the pattern of life.
To understand the
intelligence as expressed through time, through the
Cyclic Law, we must fully realize that time is actually
growth that starts from a point called seeding time and
extends through the fruition or harvest period, when
completion of growth has taken place and seeds for the
next cycle of growth are provided.
When we study the
different stages of growth of plant life, the evidence of
intelligent phenomena governing natural laws is
conclusive; then we realize that all forms of growth are
related to time, with each expressing its own particular
season and mathematical gradation. In giving this
matter thought you will realize that such a phenomenon,
producing its effect in growth, is another form of
intelligence apart from the intelligence or
characteristics of individual human mind, yet all governed by the one
divine law. The harmonies of
the universe might be termed the mind of nature working
through a universal plan.
The time we are born
determines our individuality and yet at the same time it
relates us to the whole of nature, placing us under the
Cyclic Law, and creating our individual
cycle.
2002 represent a
potential of time to be used constructively.
