Happiness
in Home Life is a State of Mind
Excerpt by © Alfred J.
Parker
Very few couples have a definite goal of mental
compatibility and the pattern and personal steps that
lead to it. Either person feels that because he or
she is happy, the partner should feel the same. You
must remember that no one can make you happy. Some
people could never make you happy no matter what they
did; you would not want them to do anything. Other
people because of their viewpoint make you very
happy. Why? It is a state of mind. It
is as well to remember that no one can make you happy,
for happiness is a state of your own mind. No
matter what others may do, it is not to be expected they
can make you happy if you do not desire their
attention. It brings it back to self.
First, be happy in your
own mind and thoughts and then endeavour to share that
happiness with the one you love, and in a measure, with
all people. When you are happy you share it and
then the other person receives that happiness, for
sharing is the happiness.
Mental happiness is one
of the highest attainments one can possess, for without
mental happiness all other things are worthless.
The state of your mind is your life, thoughts, actions,
and experience. If you are always desirous of
giving, then many of the common misunderstandings will
be removed from your life.
Love is complete
giving. There is no other alternative. If
you are not happy, change your thinking and perfect
it. This lesson not only applies to married life
but to any association. Love and service always
command respect. Too little do people realize the
joy of service and giving, and the extreme congeniality
in working with others. If each person could
attempt to assume his or her own responsibilities for
happiness and congenial association without expectation
from others, many misunderstandings would vanish like
mist in the morning sun. Love, hate, and respect
are all planes of mind or qualities of thinking that can
be changed. Life's stay is always so short.
You have to find as much happiness as you possibly
can. It is only a matter of just seeing things in
a certain light, that is all. It is only a state
of mind.
The husband may come home
feeling happy; he may come in feeling miserable.
His wife is full of joy seeing him and before he has
been home fifteen minutes she hates the sight of
him. She wishes he would pack up and beat it and
get out because of the state of mind he came home in, or
vice versa. Always be careful to think about what you
say before you say it, before you utter a word. If
you have to say something, do it pleasantly. After
all, just think if that person be taken away through an
accident or something. Then you might think,
"There were so many things I could have done."
It is up to you to do
your best or you make the other person's life a
prison.

A wonderful world is the
result of balance between Reason and reality (as we
perceive it). The intelligence of Reason becomes
involved in the pattern of finite form creating natural
beauty, harmony, and balance, which is reflected on this
wondrous earth and called Mother Nature.
Although the
involutionary process is impossible to see, we can trace
backwards the evolutionary stages of life and thereby
gain a concept of how and why Reason does become
involved and thus better understand our part or role in
the finite pattern of life.
Why Reason exists in the
first place is at this time unanswerable but we know it
does exist because we experience it. We can understand
that this intelligent power of Reason incorporates
within itself the principle of creativity causing
reality to define itself through finite or dimensional
form as demonstrated by the pattern of the universe and
the life forms on our earth.
Scientific evidence
points to a fiery beginning of our earth but through
time and change, the earth has become hospitable to the
creativity of life and formed the Garden of Even of
Reason within reality, hosting the life forms of
intelligent expression, the most developed of which is
humanity.
From seed to flower,
young to old, child to sage, the involution of the life
force causes the unfoldment of a myriad of potentials to
fill the physical plane with an array of life forms to
dazzle the senses with riotous colours, cacophonies of
sound, scents, and tastes to make the senses reel,
complexities of shapes and sizes to defy rhyme and
reason. Life can and should be balanced and
beautiful.
Languages have been the
medium through which Reason has culminated its
intelligent expression, developing the mind of humanity
as the highest conscious expression of Reason.
People have, it seems,
always sought for a clearer understanding of their
relationship to this creative source. From
building idols of worship to religious edifices of
grandeur, the populace has attempted to reunite their
lives with the highest essence of Being, that of
Universal Consciousness.
It would appear that the
creative power of life must struggle always to overcome
the resistance to change and growth. Newton's laws
of motion tell us that objects remain static unless
acted upon by another motivating force. Whether it
is the formation of a new island, the sprouting of a
seed, or the travail of child bearing and birth, it
requires a motivating cause to bring it about.
Humanity remains static in its mental development
because of its long term acceptance of custom and habit. It
remains locked in existence based on feelings allowing
emotions to direct its growth towards more desirable and
less constructive objectives. Thus humanity grows
in numbers, increases in discordance, and exponentially
races towards self-destruction.
But invariably some
people sense the inner voice of conscious, potential
creativity and out of the masses arise those eager minds
seeking change, growth, improvement, and greater
closeness to that elusive understanding of Reason.
The greater the motivation, the greater the
change. Increased awareness of the universal scope
of life awakens the creative power of Reason locked
within the spark of potential within every human
being.

DUANE, DICK, PHIL, CLIFF, MICK, BURTON, MUNRO,
THURSTON, AUBREY, HUDSON, BRIG, WILLY, MIN, MAURINE,
LILL, VICK, VICKI, NIKKI
These people are generous, sympathetic, and
idealistic to the point that they often neglect their
own duties to help others. The very thought of another’s
suffering upsets them and can affect their nervous
systems. It is difficult for them to remain objective
and unemotional about the distress of others. They give
much of themselves, and sometimes people take advantage
of their sympathies and expect a great deal from them.
They can be easily and deeply hurt and offended, but
praise and appreciation encourages them and give them
confidence.
They love attention. They
have charming, affectionate personalities, at home in
almost any environment. They enjoy home and family and
must be careful of being overly possessive often arising
as a result of feelings of mistrust and anxiety. They
tend to worry excessively over trifles and
unknown factors. Under stressful circumstances, they can
be very intense. When they are not relaxed, they tend to
become critical, jealous, or temperamental.
Consequently, they may have misunderstandings and, on
occasion, experience losses in the affections.
Not liking monotony and
attention to detail, they find it difficult to
systematize their efforts and often overlook business
responsibilities and the practical aspects of life. They
tend to be impulsive and love the element of surprise.
They much prefer to be involved in creative projects,
expressing through the arts, music, dancing, or drama,
specializing and perfecting their talents. Also, they
may find that they enjoy writing, particularly poetry.
These outlets provide an expression for their great
imagination and vision.
When they are inspired
and feel happy, life seems so wonderful, but they can be
just as depressed and unhappy when they feel as if
everyone is against them. The sensitivity created by
these names makes it difficult for them to maintain
stability in their thinking. Their motto is "Love
makes the world go around." When they feel loved
and appreciated, or when they are given praise, they can
rise to their best, encouraged and satisfied with life.
However, there are times when they can feel that the
whole world is against them. Their fluctuating moods and
petulant qualities create misunderstandings with others.
These names intensify their feelings, and so many of
their decisions are based on their feelings rather than
analysis. They can be easily and deeply hurt, but they
are a forgiving nature, not inclined to hold
grudges.
The weakness of these
names centres in the nervous system and thus they can
experience tension in their entire body. Under stress,
they could suffer nervous anxiety, or even breakdowns,
strokes, apoplexy or other nervous disorders.

Questions?
What are the
differences between the Kabalarian Philosophy and
religions?
Fundamentally, all religions
have three objectives: to teach a theory of life to
explain the various facets of life, to provide a code of
conduct, and to unite the efforts of their adherents to
fulfil their interpretation of the plan of life.
Towards the first of
these three objectives, the Kabalarian Philosophy adds
significantly to the understanding of mind. While all
constructive codes of conduct are beneficial to the
degree they are applied consistently, fulfilling the
plan of life is incomplete without recognizing the role
of mind.
You must use the creative
power of mind to establish balance and harmony. Once you
can measure the qualities of mind, the responsibility is
yours to discipline and refine your thinking to be a
constructive channel of mind. The Kabalarian Philosophy
provides the tools for mental growth - the principles to
work with in a practical way to enhance your life
dramatically.
The Mathematical
Principle, as taught by Kabalarian Philosophy, has been
known in many cultures and ages past. This principle is
the means by which mind is created and balanced. What
more important truth in seeking to understand the plan
of life is there than striving to become a complete
reflection of the universal potential of mind?

What does 2003 hold
for you?
The Cyclic Law is the
application of mathematics to time. Every person
is born into time and governed by it from the first
breath of life until death. Within the period of
time called life, the changing minutes, hours, days,
months, and years bring changing conditions, thoughts,
opportunities, successes, and failures. Although
the world at large does not as yet fully realize it,
these fluctuating circumstances of life are not as
haphazard as they appear to be. There is a
definite, intelligent pattern to life, and a basic,
logical, consistent reason for everything. That
pattern and reason are embodied within mathematics and
the Cyclic Law.
When you learn to act in
complete accord with the cyclic conditions of each
passing day, then you are able to start an undertaking
at the proper time, follow it through, and successfully
complete it. Going against the cycles--either
consciously or unconsciously--means working hard and,
though there seems to be progress, suddenly finding that
many things may go wrong. Days, months, and
perhaps years of effort are wasted; or you partially
succeed in one aspect of life and fail in others, and
then wonder why.
